Governor Kelly Announces 40 Local Bridge Projects Receive More than $40M

Governor Laura Kelly and Kansas Transportation Secretary Calvin Reed announced that 40 local and off-system bridge projects will receive $40.25 million from the federal Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. Together with local funds, the total project value is over $45.2 million. This will enhance infrastructure stability and safety in Kansas. The Kansas Department of Transportation doubled its annual funding for bridge improvement programs. KDOT received a total of 170 applications requesting $162.3 million for the local bridge programs.
