Stockton Man Arrested For Manufacturing Methamphetamine

ROOKS COUNTY – The Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) and the Rooks County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Stockton man for manufacturing methamphetamine. 

The Rooks County Sheriff’s Office requested KBI assistance on April 3. The investigation discovered Richard E. Beck, 63, of Stockton, was purchasing methamphetamine precursor chemicals and stealing anhydrous ammonia in order to manufacture methamphetamine.

On Monday, May 4, KBI agents and deputies arrested Beck for two counts of unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of anhydrous ammonia, possession of pseudoephedrine with the intent to manufacture methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia with the intent to manufacture methamphetamine, and possession of marijuana.

Following the arrest, Beck was booked into the Rooks County Jail.

All suspects are presumed innocent unless, or until, proven guilty in a court of law. The investigation is ongoing.
