Kansas Storytelling Festival 2026 – Friday & Saturday In Downs

The 32nd annual Kansas Storytelling Festival will be held this Friday and Saturday (April 24-25) in Downs, Kansas. The Festival features nationally known storytellers: Kevin Kling, Geraldine Buckley, Reverend Robert B. Jones, Ingrid Nixon and Greg Victors (The Wichita War Dancer). Other opportunities are available to hear stories from Tall Tale tellers, Local Legends, Master Storytellers and a Swappin’ Grounds where visitors tell their own stories.

The Festival begins at 1:30 Friday afternoon and continues through Saturday night with sessions at 4 different venues in Downs. Each evening, there will be story “Concerts” that begin at 7:00 and end at approximately 9:30pm.
