Topeka Bank Robbed; Suspect Sought

The FBI is investigating a bank robbery that occurred Monday afternoon at Equity Bank, located at 3825 SW 29th Street in Topeka.

Just before 5:00 PM, a suspect entered the bank. The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 5’10” tall and 200-215 pounds. He was wearing a black hooded jacket, dark jeans, dark shoes, and a face covering.

The suspect approached a teller, brandished a firearm, and demanded money. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled the bank on foot.

No injuries were reported during the incident.
