At 8:06 pm, Law Enforcement confirmed the child was found safe.  The suspect Darryl Livingston Jr is still at large.  The KBI thanks the public and Law Enforcement agencies in Kansas and Missouri who coordinated to find the child.

2024-07-17 18:51:13.611: On 07-17-2024 at 5:49 pm, the Kansas City Police Department provided the following information to the KBI:

On 07-17-2024 at approximately 1:30 pm, Jaxon Halley and his mother were forcibly taken at gunpoint by the suspect during a domestic incident at their home.  The child and the mother were driven into Missouri where the mother escaped from the suspect at around 3:28 pm.  However, the suspect kept Jaxon Halley and left in a unknown direction.  The suspect reportedly made statements to the mother that he would kill her and the child.  Law Enforcement believe the child is in imminent danger.  The suspect left in a unknown direction in Kansas City Missouri.
