Governor Kelly Signs Good Samaritan Bill
Kansas Governor Laura Kelly signed the bipartisan Good Samaritan Law, protecting individuals seeking or providing aid during drug-related medical emergencies from prosecution. The law aims to save lives and assist in recovery from substance use disorders. Additionally, other bills were signed, addressing fentanyl-related issues, penalties, evidentiary requirements, IT consolidation, and school enrollment.

Cloud Co. Comm. College Lowering Cost Of Dual Credit Classes
Cloud County Community College is making college more accessible for high school students by waiving fees for dual credit courses starting fall 2024. President Amber Knoettgen emphasizes accessibility and affordability, saving families $141 per three-credit hour course. High school sophomores, juniors, and seniors can enroll in college-level courses for both high school and college credit. For enrollment, contact the high school counselor or email April Benne.
