The Beloit Police Department initiated a traffic stop for speeding on April 8, 2017 on U.S. Hwy. 24 with the assistance of the Mitchell County Sheriff’s Department.
At the conclusion of the initial investigation, Fred Hatcher of Everett, Washington was arrested for possession of minimal amounts of controlled substances including marijuana and THC oil. He will also be charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of illegal proceeds totaling about $25,000 in cash. A 2010 Subaru Legacy was also seized.
Mr. Hatcher is currently a guest of the Mitchell County Jail awaiting the judicial process.
