Manhattan Fire Department Responds to Gas Line Incident

On February 24th, the Manhattan Fire Department responded to a gas line leak caused by a backhoe striking an 8-inch natural gas line. Crews evacuated nearby businesses, closed Fort Riley Blvd, and contained the leak by 1:00 a.m. No injuries were reported, and the area remained secured until the situation stabilized.
