Appointed commissioners include Griff Howard (Corn), Kevin Kniebel (Sorghum), Gary Robbins (Soybean), and Nathan Larson (Wheat). No candidates ran for Sunflower and Grain Sorghum positions in two districts, leading to appointments. Terms start April 1, 2025.

Commodity Commission Deadline Is Nov. 30 to File or Register

Growers in Kansas seeking to run for or vote in the 2025 commodity commission elections must register by November 30, 2024. Eligible candidates must gather 20 signatures to qualify and can utilize online petitions. Voter registration and candidate resources are available online or through the Kansas Department of Agriculture.
