The Kansas Corporation Commission is preparing to launch the Kansas Home Rebates Program with $105.6 million from the Inflation Reduction Act to assist low to moderate-income households in reducing energy costs. Stakeholder engagement sessions are planned, with a program design approval needed from the U.S. Department of Energy before funding becomes available in 2025.

Kansas will receive $9 million from the federal Inflation Reduction Act to combat drought, including $7 million for the Equus Beds Aquifer Recharge Project and $2 million for the Kansas Voluntary Agreements Program. These initiatives aim to enhance water quality and support farmers and communities affected by drought.
