The Kansas "AA" American Legion State Tournament in Concordia is in progress. Here are the latest scores: Smith Co. beat Independence 3-2, Hiawatha defeated Marysville 6-4, Concordia won against Corning 5-3, and Iola beat Norton 8-0. The tournament continues with upcoming matches leading to the championship games.

Discussions also took place regarding budget adjustments and concerns about construction projects. The meeting ended with a discussion on courthouse security before adjourning at 11:50 a.m.

Brody Lenington of Cedar Vale-Dexter High School claimed the title of National Champion in clay target shooting, outshooting 1,800 high school athletes. Madelyn Coats from Franklin-Waverly High School was named the top female shooter. Oregon's Yamhill-Carlton High School won the team title. The event hosted 3,000 athletes from 456 high schools.

The Kansas City Chiefs are making a new Hallmark movie titled "Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story," featuring several players and actors. The film follows a Chiefs superfan competing for "Fan of the Year" and includes a romantic storyline. Production took place in Kansas City, including at Arrowhead Stadium. The movie is a collaboration between Skydance Media and the NFL.
