MANHATTAN, Kansas – Kealie Bryant with the Garden City FFA chapter won the Creed Speaking Leadership Development Event (LDE) and Heath Ratzlaff from the Canton-Galva FFA chapter won the Invitational Spanish Creed Speaking event during the 98th Kansas FFA Convention held May 27-29 on the Kansas State University campus.
The Creed Speaking LDE is designed to foster agricultural leadership in younger members. By developing premier leadership and personal growth, students learn speaking skills and respect for the history of the FFA organization. The Spanish Creed Speaking event requires presenting the Creed in Spanish.
Runners-up for the Creed Speaking LDE were: Stormy Guttery, Osborne County FFA chapter in second place; April Slipke, Jackson Heights FFA chapter in third place; and Kinsley Harris, Uniontown FFA chapter in fourth place.
Runners-up in the Invitational Spanish Creed Speaking event were: Camille Doris, Marais de Cygnes FFA chapter in second place and Jazlynn Riverra, Garden City FFA chapter in third place.
