Marysville Teen Hospitalized After Single-Vehicle Crash in Nemaha County


A 17-year-old from Marysville was seriously injured in a crash Sunday morning in Nemaha County, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.

Dalton Riggs was driving a 2006 Kia Sorento west on K-9 Highway around 9 a.m. when he lost control of the vehicle. About a half-mile west of V Road, the car went into a ditch, hit a field entrance, and rolled multiple times before coming to a stop.

Riggs, who was the sole occupant, was taken to Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka with suspected serious injuries.
