No. 8 Kansas Dominates Brown 87-53
Zeke Mayo led the way with 25 points, while Hunter Dickinson added 15 points and 13 rebounds, as the No. 8 Kansas Jayhawks cruised to an 87-53 victory over Brown on Sunday.

Mayo caught fire in the second half, hitting two consecutive three-pointers to extend the Kansas lead to 25 points with 12 minutes remaining. This followed his impressive 26-point performance in their previous win over NC State.

Brown, despite a competitive first half, struggled to find their offensive rhythm, particularly in the second half, where they managed only 22 points. Their shooting woes were evident, with a dismal 26.7% field goal percentage (20-for-75).

Kansas, on the other hand, shot 50% from the field (34-for-68) and effectively capitalized on Brown’s struggles. While they faced some challenges inside the paint early on, their defense tightened in the second half, ultimately securing the dominant victory.

The Jayhawks, who had suffered consecutive losses to Missouri and Creighton, have now won two straight games and extended their home winning streak to seven games this season.

Key Player Performances:

  • Zeke Mayo: 25 points, key three-pointers in the second half.
  • Hunter Dickinson: 15 points, 13 rebounds, strong inside presence.
  • Kino Lily Jr. (Brown): 18 points, leading scorer for Brown.

The Kansas Jayhawks will face the West Virginia Mountaineers in their Big 12 Conference opener on New Year’s Eve. Join the pregame coverage starting at 12:30 PM on 95.5 KNDY, Z-96.3 The Lake, and SuperStar Country 102.5 & 1530 AM, before the 1:00 PM tipoff at Allen Fieldhouse.
