Schedule Set for NCAA Super Regional at No. 16 Virginia. KNDY 1570 AM/94.1 FM To Air Games

Classic Country 1570 AM & 94.1 FM KNDY in Marysville will broadcast all of the K-State Super Regional baseball games Friday through Sunday.

MANHATTAN, Kan. – The NCAA and ESPN have announced the Super Regional schedule for this weekend as K-State’s best-of-three series at No. 16 Virginia will be played Friday through Sunday at Disharoon Park in Charlottesville, Va.

The Wildcats (35-24) and 12th-national seeded Cavaliers (44-15) open their series Friday with a 6 p.m. CT contest, while Saturday’s game will hold a 2 p.m. CT first pitch. If necessary, the decisive third game will be played on Sunday at 2 p.m., with the winner advancing to the 2024 College World Series. All three contests of the NCAA Charlottesville Super Regional will be shown on ESPNU and can be heard on the K-State Sports Network.

Kansas State, which enters its second Super Regional in program history and first since 2013, went 3-0 to win the 2024 NCAA Fayetteville Regional this past weekend at Baum-Walker Stadium. The third-seeded Wildcats jumped out the gate with a 19-4 victory over second-seeded Louisiana Tech before defeating No. 5 national seed and top-seeded Arkansas 7-6 in front of a crowd of over 11,200.

In the regional championship, K-State scored seven runs in a two-inning span over the second and third innings and received eight scoreless innings from its bullpen to defeat No. 4 seed SEMO, 7-2, and advance to the Super Regional.

Five Wildcats were named to the Fayetteville Regional all-tournament team with Kaelen Culpepper, who went 7-for-12 (.583) with two home runs and seven RBI, was named the Fayetteville Regional’s most valuable player. Culpepper was joined by Jaden Parsons (third base), Chuck Ingram (outfield), Jackson Wentworth (starting pitcher), and Tyson Neighbors (relief pitcher) on the regional’s all-tournament team.
