Royals Sweep Astros With 13-3 Win Thursday; Win 7th Consecutive Game

In a remarkable display of skill and power, Bobby Witt Jr. showcased his talent on the field with an outstanding performance. With four hits, including two impressive home runs, and five RBIs, Witt Jr. played a pivotal role in the Kansas City Royals’ victory over the Houston Astros. The Royals dominated from the very beginning, capitalizing on a nine-run first inning that set the tone for the rest of the game. This win not only completed a three-game sweep but also extended their winning streak to an impressive seven games.

Vinnie Pasquantino, who had been struggling at the plate recently, made a remarkable turnaround in Wednesday’s game. He went 3-for-5 with three RBIs, significantly contributing to the Royals’ victory. This outstanding performance boosted his batting average to .222 and his RBI count to eight.

The Kansas City Royals have been on fire during their recent homestand, achieving a perfect seven-game winning streak against the White Sox and Astros. This remarkable feat is only the third time in franchise history that the Royals have completed a homestand of at least seven games without a single loss. The previous instances occurred in 1988 and 1985, the latter being the year they clinched their first World Series title.

Kansas City next heads off to New York City for a three-game series with the New York Mets. Michael Wacha gets the start to Kansas City, opposite of Luis Severine for the Mets. Pregame on the Royals Radio Network begins at 5:30 p.m., with first pitch from Citi Field set for 6:10 p.m. Catch the game on Classic Hits KQNK 106.7 FM, 102.5 FM & 1530 AM.
