On July 17, 2025, radio stations 94.1 KDNS-FM and 96.3 KZDY-FM resumed full power after successful transmitter repairs from lightning damage sustained in May. During the interim, listeners accessed streaming services online. The restoration enhances signal strength for audiences throughout North Central Kansas, ensuring reliable service going forward.

Listeners in North Central Kansas may have noticed disruptions to 96.3 KZDY-FM due to a major transmitter failure in February. The station is currently using an auxiliary transmitter with reduced power and limited coverage. Programming has shifted to simulcast KD Country 94 until a new format is introduced later this month.

Z-96.3 The Lake has resumed broadcasting at reduced power due to a significant transmitter failure, which is under repair. Listeners can access programming online and via a mobile app, with restrictions on streaming Kansas Jayhawk Basketball content. Meanwhile, KD Country 94 remains fully operational for news and music.

Dierking Communications, Inc. has invested in their radio stations in north central Kansas, including KD Country 94 and Z-96.3 The Lake, to ensure long-term service to the community. Upgrades include in-house music programming and state-of-the-art transmitters for clearer reception. The work is expected to be completed by the end of May.
