Road improvements to begin Monday, April 28 in Cawker City

Beginning April 28, the Kansas Department of Transportation will reconstruct U.S. 24 and Oak Street in Cawker City, involving drainage and sidewalk improvements over .43 miles. Traffic will be reduced to one lane each way. Smoky Hill LLC. is the $1.1 million contractor, expecting completion by early October. Motorists should stay alert.
