The inaugural Kansas Connecting Entrepreneurial Communities conferences will be held in Kingman County in June 2025 and Republic County in June 2026. The initiative is supported by K-State 105 and various state organizations, enhancing local entrepreneurial capacities.

The K-State 105 project is driving economic growth in Douglas County through an entrepreneurship ecosystem, aiming to add 1,300 technology and 300 non-tech jobs by 2040. Led by entrepreneurs, the Douglas County CORE initiative provides resources and support for aspiring entrepreneurs. The program is a model for other communities interested in fostering economic development through entrepreneurship.

The K-State 105 initiative partners with K-State University, The University of Kansas Health System, and Phillips County Health Systems to support rural health care in Phillips County. The initiative actively engages community members in identifying and addressing community-specific health care priorities, working to bring innovative health care solutions and increased accessibility to health care providers to the area.

A collaborative K-State 105 project aims to improve rural and agriculture-connected health in Kansas, involving 12 partners and focusing on 16 counties. Community health workers will provide support, and the initiative plans to expand to additional areas. The project received funding through the K-State 105 initiative, emphasizing partnerships for economic prosperity in Kansas.

This partnership will introduce an Entrepreneur Navigator (E-Navigator) and facilitate connections among local entrepreneurs. The expanded services aim to create more job opportunities and improve the quality of life in the community, with plans for possible replication in other locations.
