U.S. Senators Jerry Moran and Jeanne Shaheen introduced a bipartisan resolution to designate May 3, 2024, as National Space Day, recognizing the impact of the space and aerospace community on the United States. This acknowledges the contributions of aerospace leaders and aims to inspire the next generation of space explorers and engineers. High Speed Chase Through Clay & Washington Counties Leads To Arrest Of Washington State Escapee
On April 22nd, a high-speed pursuit spanning Clay and Washington counties involved a suspect vehicle reaching speeds over 100 mph, forcing vehicles off the road. Despite Stop Sticks being deployed in the Linn area, the vehicle evaded them and caused a patrol car accident. The pursuit ended with the suspect vehicle crashing, resulting in injuries to all three occupants. The driver, Robert D Allen, had a felony warrant from Washington State and is now in custody.
