Northeast Kansas Community Action Program (NEK-CAP, Inc.) is providing shelf-stable meals to youth (1-18 years of age) in Washington County this November and December. This program is designed to help families make it through the schools’ Fall and Winter Breaks with less stress on grocery bills and feeding their children. Each child will receive home deliveries of Food 4 Kids packs for each week they are out of school for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. There are income guidelines to be eligible for this program. Call Kaydee Tran, Community Development Advocate, to schedule an appointment: (785) 547-7136. Applications will be taken on:

– November 4 – 12:30-2:30 p.m. – WS Co. Health Department / 3:00-5:00 p.m. – Washington Good Shepherd Lutheran Church

– November 7 – 2:00-5:00 p.m. – WS Co. Health Department

– November 18 – 12:30-2:30 p.m. – WS Co. Health Department / 3:00-5:00 p.m. – Washington Good Shepherd Lutheran Church
