Royals Fall To Twins 4-1 On Opening Day 2024 at Kauffman Stadium

The Kansas City Royals lost 4-1 to the Minnesota Twins at their home opener in Kauffman Stadium despite both teams hitting early home runs. Royals' third baseman Maikel Garcia hit a home run in the club's first at-bat, leveling the game at one, but it was their only run. Starting pitcher Cole Ragans pitched well for six innings but allowed eight baserunners, ultimately resulting in a defeat. The Twins added two insurance runs in the top of the ninth inning, securing their victory. The two teams will resume their series on Saturday at 3:10 p.m. at Kauffman Stadium.
