Marysville USD 364 Superintendent Bill Mullins, via social media Monday, announced his pending leave from the district in order to focus on his health, as he continues a battle with cancer.
Mullins indicated that he had advised the board at a special meeting last week of his plans to leave sometime in the next few months, allowing for an interim superintendent next school year, with a candidate search for a full-time replacement for hire beginning July 2020. Another special board meeting is planned this Wednesday evening at 6. Agenda items include personnel, as well as contingency and succession planning with a representative of the Kansas Association of School Boards.
In other business, selection of a construction manager at risk will be considered.
