Storm Spotter Training Dates Set For Marshall & Washington Counties

Spring storm spotter training dates have been set. In Washington County, the National Weather Service will participate as part of a joint meeting honoring emergency responders, to include a meal hosted by county emergency management, followed by the training Monday, March 25th at the Fire and EMS Building in Washington.

Marshall County Emergency Management will host storm spotter training on Thursday, March 28th beginning at 7 p.m. at the Beattie Community Center. The public is welcome to attend. The statewide Kansas tornado drill is coming up next Tuesday, March 5th as part of the annual Severe Weather Awareness Week.
