Wind Chill Advisory In Effect For Area Overnight

Bitterly cold wind chills are expected tonight across parts of north central and northeast Kansas where wind chills of 15 to 20 below are expected. Across the rest of the area wind chills of 8 to 14 below zero will be common late tonight and early Friday morning. Avoid prolonged exposure when outdoors.

Derek Nester was born and raised in Blue Rapids, and graduated from Valley Heights High School in May of 2000. In 2018 he became the Studio Coordinator at the Cumulus Kansas City broadcast center for Kansas City Chiefs Football.
