Pair Of Accidents Reported In Washington County; Hit & Run Investigation Underway

An injury accident was reported at the Hanover junction on U.S. Highway 36 last Tuesday evening.

A Florida man, Victor Rosco, reportedly failed to yield at the stop sign on Kansas Highway 148 and was struck by Brian Graves of Greenleaf. Graves and a passenger in his vehicle were transported to Hanover Hospital with injuries sustained.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a hit and run accident which occurred on Friday, January 11th on U.S. Highway 36 just east of Yankee Road. The hit and run vehicle is a newer model grey Chevy pickup with damage to the front end and driver’s side door.

Driver is described as a white male with grey hair and beard 50 – 60 years old. Anyone with information regarding this accident please contact the Sheriff’s office at 785-325-2293.
