An early morning accident Sunday on Kansas Highway 87 took the life of a Frankfort woman.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reports that Arianna Lynn Martin, 22, of Frankfort was the passenger on an ATV driven by Weston Adams, 27, of Frankfort when the ATV rolled, ejecting Martin before the ATV came to rest on top of her. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Adams was driving in a field on the east side of K-87, approximately 5 miles south of U.S. Highway 36, when he drove the ATV onto the highway, traveling south. He later turned the ATV around, traveling north, when he entered a ditch and rolled the ATV onto the passenger side.

Adams was reported to have injuries in the accident.
