Wind damage in Marshall County Wednesday evening may indeed have been a weak tornado.
Classified EF-0, top wind speeds were estimated at 94 mph with the storm that tracked a 60 yards wide path some 7.9 miles from 5 miles east of Blue Rapids to a mile northeast of Frankfort, touching down at 5:47 p.m. Earlier reports had a number of trees down, some power lines and building damage resulting from what were believed to have been straight line winds initially.
This was one of five identified in northeast Kansas Wednesday.
