The Board of Washington County Commission met in Greenleaf Kansas, at the Greenleaf Legion on April 28, 2018 to Discuss Economic Development Present were Tim Mueller, 1st District Commissioner, David Willbrant, 2nd District Commissioner, Gary Ouellette, 3rd District Commissioner and Diana Svanda, County Clerk.
Tim Mueller, welcomed everyone in attendance, and discussed the purpose of the meeting, and that was to seek voluntaries for an Economic Development Board. Tim introduced Barbara Donavon, then she gave a presentation. Tim Mueller followed by giving a presentation and time for questions and suggestions.
REGULAR MEETING
The Board of Washington County Commission met in regular session on Monday April 30, 2018 in the commission room at the Washington County Courthouse. Members present were Tim Mueller, 1st District Commissioner, David Willbrant, 2nd District Commissioner, Gary Ouellette, 3rd District Commissioner, and Diana Svanda, County Clerk to record minutes, Cynthia Scheer, Washington County News was also present.
The board began the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance.

David Willbrant reported that he attended the DARE Graduation, also attended 2 Economic Development meetings.
Tim Mueller attended Economic Development meeting.
Gary Ouellette put up flyers for the Economic Development meeting, and also attended the Economic Development meeting.

Mary Tate and Anita Bott, Pawnee Mental Health – presented a Proclamation for Fitness #4 Mind4Body, David Willbrant made the motion to approve the proclamation, Tim Mueller seconded the motion, all in favor, motion carried.
Denae Jueneman, County Treasurer – presented a quarterly report for the commissioners review, Commissioners talked about the County’s CD’s and the rate.
Randy Hubbard, Emergency Management Director – Reported giving assistance to, two people within the county, that have lost their home, or had damage, also the LEPC meeting has been postponed, and the Cert meeting will be May 16.
Jere Wiechman stop in to talk with the commissioners about All American Road.
Justin Novak, Road & Bridge Supervisor – reported on work that was performed last week, and Hall Brothers will start on the Greenleaf Oil Road this week. Justin discussed two new hires for his department.
Gloria Moore, Tourism Director – Talked about travels and events that she has attended, also presented a travel request for reimbursement.
Kirby Fox, Lock-it – Talked to the Commissioners about security for the County computers.
Wanda Backstrom, Juvenile Services – Presented funding allocation comparison for commissioner review. Commissioners signed 3 grants for Adult’s, Juvenile, and Behavioral.
Elizabeth Hiltgen, County Attorney joined the meeting, and talked to the commissioners about Neighborhood Revitalization Plan.
Tim Mueller made the motion to adjourn at 12:05, David Willbrant seconded the motion all in favor, motion carried.
The next regular commission meeting will be on Monday May 7, 2018.
