On Saturday, March 10, 2018, the Riley County Police Department will establish and maintain an Operations Center at the Manhattan City Park Pavilion for the annual Fake Patty’s Day celebration.
The Riley County Police Department will be active on Twitter and Facebook throughout the day and the week prior to Fake Patty’s Day. RCPD encourages patrons of this fake holiday to follow them for updates.
RCPD would like to remind those attending the event to celebrate responsibly and to not drink past a safe limit or get behind the wheel after consuming any alcohol. Officers will be out in significant numbers attempting to reduce crime and improve the quality of life for the community members of Manhattan who choose to participate, and those who don’t.
Moro Street from North Manhattan Avenue to 11th St. in Aggieville will be closed to vehicle traffic at 7:00 AM on Saturday, March 10th. Any vehicles parked on this roadway after that time will be towed. The area will still be open to pedestrian and street vending traffic.
