Washington Co. GOP To Consider Replacement Treasurer Candidates

Members of the Washington County GOP Central Committee will meet Thursday evening at 7 p.m. at the First National Bank meeting room in Washington to consider replacement candidates for County Treasurer Christy Metz, who recently resigned her post.

Delegates will hear from interested candidates applying for the position, which must be registered Washington County Republicans. The selection will then move on to the governor’s office for approval.

The appointment will serve until a successor is elected, and qualified at the next general election this fall to serve the remainder of the unexpired four year term through 2020.
