Congressman Dr. Roger Marshall visited Mankato on Friday as part of his statewide listening tour. The first term congressman of the Kansas Big First District fielded questions from the gallery of about 15 people.
The first question Marshall fielded was about a report released last week from the Task Force on Agriculture and Rural Prosperity. The report discussed issues vital to ag and rural prosperity such as internet connectivity and rural infrastructure.
Representative Marshall continued to elaborate on the issue of high speed internet connectivity for rural Kansas.
The congressman was then asked about ongoing negotiations on the North Atlantic Free Trade Agreement or NAFTA.
Marshall continued to discuss his ideals on NAFTA and expressed confidence in key cabinet members regarding the issue.
