Hill City Double Murder Suspect Found Deceased

A double murder suspect being sought out of Graham County in the area of Hill City has been found deceased according to authorities.

Efren Lloyd Mascarenas Jr. was a “person of interest” in connection with the two murders which are believed to have taken place sometime Thursday after being reported at about 3:30 p.m.

The events claimed the lives of Mascarenas’ father, Efren Sr., and a woman named Christin Marie Cantrell who was eight months pregnant at the time of her death. She was reportedly killed in front of her 5-year old daughter.

A vehicle matching the description of the car he was last seen driving was been found early today. A perimeter was established northeast of Hill City as the search continued before Mascarenas was found this morning.
