The Board of Washington County Commission met in regular session on Monday August 7, 2017 in the commission room at the Washington County Courthouse. Members present: Tim Mueller, 1st District Commissioner, David Willbrant, 2nd District Commissioner, Gary Ouellette, 3rd District Commissioner, Elizabeth Hiltgen, County Attorney and Diana Svanda, County Clerk to record minutes.

Received Contract with Anna Porter, Appraisal Consultant.

Review 12th Judicial District FY17 year End Report
Tim Mueller reported on August 1 they had a LEPC meeting.
David Willbrant reported that Jim Starke Ministerial society contacted him, they will not do there Unity Service this year, that they will have it next year and would still like to use the courthouse for this Service.
Tim Mueller reported he received 5 or 6 phone calls with an opinion that the Airport needs to be sold.
Gary Ouellette had 4 contacts for the airport, these opinions were not to sell the Airport.
Tim Mueller, talked about the eclipse and closing of County Offices for the eclipse, he explained it happens once in a life time and wanted to know what the other 2 thought and ask for their decision by next Monday.
There was a conference call placed to Brad Walaer, Benesch Engineer and Dan McBride, CVA, to discuss the airport.
Justin Novak, Road & Bridge Supervisor – Report that the rainy weather had set them back, but asphalt patching should be completed on Clifton oil this week, Patching will continue on North Washington Oil, some patching started through the city link north of Washington. Also they need to get some roads graveled before the start anymore ditch work.
Justin also reported his office needs a new copier the commissioners would like for him to get at least 3 quotes.
Tim Mueller would like for the airport board to meet and talk about the sale of the airport before paying the airport insurance.
Sonya Hiltgen, ROD reported on her department.
Marci Kohlmeyer, Dragastin Insurance – discussed the amount of Insurance they were carrying on hand held radios for the sheriff office, commissioners will review these values before making a discussion.
Tiffany Hayman, County Health Director – discussed department matters.
David Roblez, Custodian – Commissioners talked to David about contracting Lawn service and snow removal, they referred him to talk to Elizabeth Hiltgen about bid specks and getting that in place before advertising. David Roblez also talked to the commissioners about the sprinkler system, there was some questions as to why the grass was turning brown, David explained there had been some issues with the sprinklers and they have been repaired.
Marcia Kohlmeyer, Dragastin Insurance – returned with information on the hand held radios.
Tim Mueller ask Elizabeth Hiltgen to look over the contract for Anna Porter, Appraisal Consultant and then talked to her about doing a draft for lawn mowing bids.
Gary Ouellette made the motion to adjourn at 11:40 AM, David Willbrant seconded the motion, all in favor, motion carried.
